Your Health

Ever wonder what makes your apples so shinny?

I'll tell you....

Over the last few years, I’ve started worrying more about my health.  I’ve been eating better, exercising more, and even learning about relaxation and mediation.  I was doing everything I could to keep myself healthy.  With an increase in availability of organic produce at the supermarkets, it inspired me to look more into our exposure to toxins and chemicals.  In my research, I have found that there is floor wax on my apples and Ether in my glass cleaner.  It made me sick to my stomach.  Those last few years of healthy eating… I was eating floor wax.  I decided, no more!

So I started to do some research.  I couldn’t believe some of the information that I dug up while on my quest.  I found out a lot about pesticides and toxins in our foods, but what really shocked me was an article from CBS. This report goes into great detail of the dangers of simple house hold cleaners and their toxicity.  It’s really appalling.  Below is one quote from that article.

Lysol Anti-bacterial Action Spray …. May cause irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes, may cause central nervous system depression if inhaled or ingested."

I can’t believe that Lysol would encourage us to spray this around the house!

Another one… Clorox Disinfectant Wipes contain pesticides.  We use these on surfaces that come in contact with our food and tooth brushes.

As for the Ether in our glass cleaners?  - exposure has known reproductive side affects.

The list goes on, but did you know, that house hold cleaners fall under the Hazardous Product Act?  I sure didn’t.  But I do know now.

How do we remove these dangerous chemicals from our homes?

This information lead me on yet another search.  I needed to find effective house hold cleaners that didn’t contain chemicals.

What I found pleasantly surprised me.  I found the company Melaleuca.  At first I thought oh great.  Because I had heard of it before, and actually I have family members who have been involved with Melaleuca before.  So initially I wasn’t interested, but I checked out the site anyways.

It was exactly what I was looking for.  The products are toxin and chemical free.  They use tea tree oil (a natural antiseptic and anti-fungal oil) and organic enzymes to achieve the same results as my old cleaners.  Everything is Eco-friendly (which is easily bio degradable) this includes the products themselves and even the bottles the products come in.  Not only do they offer cleaners, but a whole range of health, beauty, home, and medicinal supplies that are safe and effective for us to use.

Why don't I see these products at the supermarket?

Why haven’t you heard of Melaleuca before?  Melaleuca doesn’t advertise through the media.  The source of advertising comes from the members.  Why? Media advertising is expensive.  Melaleuca wants to supply superior products at a lower price.  In order to allow this, they can’t spend fortunes in advertising like other name brand products. (i.e. Johnson and Johnson).

So how do they advertise?  People like me.  I found safe, effective products to use around my family and in my home, so I'm spreading the word!

I’d like you to check out Melaleuca as a guest.  Please view through the products and make up your own mind if you are interested.  I’ve attached the link at the bottom of the page.

One more thing, if you are interested, please write to me. I want to give you more information about the company before you sign up.  They have great products, but there are also membership stipulations that I think everyone should know about.  In every business there are people who will try and fool you or take advantage of you.   I am not one of those people.   I will give you honest and straight answers period.  So please feel free to write to me with any questions you might have.  If you would like to chat over the phone, I would also be glad to give you a call.  Just send me your number and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
